Story

Shararat is a 2002 Indian Bollywood fantasy comedy film. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Hrishita Bhatt and Jugal Hansraj. The story follows the misadventures of three generations of a family living together in a house. The eldest, Nani (played by Farida Jalal) is a witch with magical powers; her granddaughter, Jiya (Hrishita Bhatt) has inherited some of those powers; and her great-grandson, Dhruv (Jugal Hansraj), is constantly getting into trouble due to his mischievous nature. When Dhruv accidentally causes chaos in the city thanks to his wish-granting abilities, it is up to Jiya and Nani to save him from the consequences. Along the way, they teach him the importance of responsibility and the power of love.
