Story

Shaheed is a 1965 Hindi film based on the life of martyr Bhagat Singh. The movie begins with a brief introduction to the Indian independence movement and Singh's role in it. As a young man, he is determined to fight for India's freedom from British rule and willing to give his life for it if necessary. He joins forces with fellow revolutionaries Rajguru and Sukhdev, forming the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Together they launch a series of protests and attacks against the British Raj. Despite all their efforts, they are eventually arrested and sentenced to death for their activities. On March 23, 1931, Singh and his associates are executed by hanging. The film ends with a tribute to their courage and sacrifice, and an assertion that their ideals will continue to inspire generations to come.
