Shagird is a 1967 Bollywood film about a young man named Rajesh who dreams of becoming a police officer. He meets an old man, Shankar, who advises him to join the police force as an undercover agent and infiltrate the criminal underworld. With the help of an inspector, Rajesh is able to become a shagird (trainee) and goes undercover as a criminal in order to gain information on the criminals. After many dangerous adventures, he succeeds in his mission and is accepted into the police force. Rajesh then uses his new position to bring down the criminals, leading to a thrilling climax. In the end, Rajesh's dream of becoming a police officer is fulfilled and justice is served.
