Savkari Pash 1925

Savkari Pash is a story of a young man, Anand, who lives in a small village in India. He is an orphan, and his only source of income is from collecting forest produce. One day, he meets a young woman, Parvati, who has been sent to the village by her father to work as a teacher. The two gradually fall in love, but their love is hindered by the social customs of the village. Anand's uncle, who disapproves of their relationship, forces him to leave the village. Despite this, Anand and Parvati continue to be devoted to each other and Anand sends letters expressing his undying love for her. When Parvati's father discovers their love affair, he forces her to marry another man. Anand returns to the village to try to save Parvati from the marriage, but to no avail. He then goes back to the forest and lives his life alone, missing Parvati and never getting over his love for her. Time passes and Anand eventually becomes a successful businessman and returns to the village. He learns that Parvati is now a widow and offers her his hand in marriage. She accepts and they make a new life together. In the end, their love triumph
