Story

Satya is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. It stars J.D. Chakravarthy, Manoj Bajpayee and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles. The film tells the story of Satya (Chakravarthy), an immigrant who arrives in Mumbai from South India looking for a job. On his journey, he meets a group of gangsters led by Bhiku Mhatre (Bajpayee). He is soon drawn into their world of crime and violence. With the help of his newfound friend, Chandu (Matondkar), Satya learns to survive in this new world. In the process, he finds out the truth about his past and decides to take revenge against the people responsible. In the end, Satya's courage and determination leads him to victory. Satya is a tale of courage, friendship, and loyalty which shows how one man can make a difference in the world.
