Sagar Sangam 1988

Sagar Sangam is a 1988 Bollywood drama film directed by K.C. Bokadia. The movie stars Rajesh Khanna, Jayapradha and Amrish Puri. The story revolves around two estranged lovers, Sagar and Neelima. Neelima is the daughter of a wealthy industrialist who is engaged to be married against her will. She meets Sagar, a poor young man from the countryside, and they fall in love. Neelima’s father disapproves of the relationship and forces her to marry another man. Heartbroken, Sagar drowns himself in the river. Neelima attempts to save him but fails. Feeling guilty for not being able to help him, she decides to commit suicide herself. However, a miracle happens and Sagar rises from the dead. He reunites with Neelima and the couple gets married happily. Sagar Sangam is a romantic drama about two lovers separated by fate. Despite all odds, their determination to stay together triumphs and they find their happily ever after.
