Safari 1999

Safari is a 1999 French-Italian action thriller film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and starring John Malcolm, Hugh Dancy and Emmanuelle Béart. The story follows an American journalist, John Malcolm, who travels to Africa to hunt big game. After getting lost in the bush, he meets two African guides, Bushman and M'boup, who help him find his way. On their journey, they come across a poacher with a stolen elephant tusk, and they must use their wits and courage to survive the many dangerous situations they encounter. Ultimately, Malcolm and his companions are successful in thwarting the poacher's plans, and they all make it safely back home.
