Reshma Aur Shera 1971

Reshma Aur Shera is an Indian drama film released in 1971. The story follows two brothers, Reshma and Shera, who are from a poor family living in rural India. Reshma works as a farmhand to make ends meet while Shera is a musician. One day, Reshma meets the local zamindar, who falls in love with her and wants to marry her. Her brother Shera objects and stands up for her honor, and as a result, the zamindar has him thrown in jail. Reshma goes to plead his case, but she is unsuccessful. The zamindar frames Shera for a crime he didn't commit, and the court sentences him to life imprisonment. Reshma takes it upon herself to find the evidence that will prove her brother's innocence. She is successful, and Shera is released. In the end, their faith in one another brings them justice and freedom.
