Ranga Khush 1975

Ranga Khush is a story about the struggle of a small village in India to break free from its oppressive caste system. The protagonist, Ranga, is a young Brahmin who has grown up in poverty and is determined to escape his family's fate. He sets out on a journey to make something of himself and soon discovers that he must fight against the traditional customs of his society. Along the way, he meets and falls in love with Kalyani, a woman from a lower caste. Despite the social taboos, the two eventually marry, much to the dismay of their families and community. As Ranga and Kalyani work together to build a better life, they are met with resistance from the villagers. In the end, Ranga helps lead the villagers in a revolt against the caste system, freeing them from its shackles and allowing them to live without fear or discrimination.
