Story

Ramaiya Vastavaiya tells the story of Ram (Girish Kumar), a young man from a small village in India who moves to Mumbai to become a successful businessman. However, his dreams are dashed when he meets Sona (Shruti Haasan), an attractive young woman from a wealthy family. Despite Ram’s best efforts to win Sona’s heart, her father is determined to keep them apart. In a desperate attempt to prove himself worthy of Sona, Ram embarks on a journey across India to find a job and make enough money to convince her father to accept their relationship. Along the way, Ram faces several obstacles but ultimately succeeds in proving his worth and winning Sona’s love. Finally, with the help of his friends, Ram and Sona are able to get married and start living happily ever after.
