Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a 2008 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Aditya Chopra and written by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. The movie tells the story of Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan), a middle-aged man who leads a monotonous life, until he meets his new wife, Taani (Anushka Sharma). Surinder falls in love with Taani, but she refuses to reciprocate his feelings. To win her heart, Surinder creates the alter ego of Raj to impress her. Through the guise of Raj, he is able to show Taani the fun and excitement she is missing out on in her life. Eventually, Taani falls for Raj, unaware that it is actually Surinder. In the end, Taani finds out that Raj and Surinder are one and the same person and they both live happily ever after. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a romantic comedy about how a middle-aged man uses an alter ego to win the heart of his beloved, and eventually finds out that true love never fades away.
