Story

Qaidi Band is a 2017 Indian musical drama film directed by Habib Faisal. It tells the story of seven inmates in a juvenile detention centre in Mumbai who form a band to fight for their freedom. The movie follows the story of seven young inmates at a Juvenile Correctional Centre in Mumbai, India. The main protagonist, Aadit, is a street-smart teen from a broken family who was sent there for a petty theft and has been serving time for three years. He meets other inmates in the facility, each with his own story and struggle. Together, they form a band and use music as a way to find hope, friendship, and freedom. With the help of the warden, they manage to record their music and gain recognition outside the prison walls. However, when their newfound fame leads to a court hearing that could see them released, the group must decide whether to stay together or go their separate ways. In the end, they all choose to stay together as a family and continue to strive for freedom.
