Patiala House 2011

Patiala House is a 2011 Indian sports drama film. It stars Akshay Kumar as Gavinder Singh, a young man from a Punjabi family living in London, England. He is the eldest son of his conservative father who has always wanted him to take over the family grocery store. Despite wanting to pursue his dream of becoming a cricketer, Gavinder feels obligated to stay and run the store. This leads to a clash between Gavinder and his father that eventually drives Gavinder away from his family. After being estranged for years, Gavinder returns home when he learns his father is ill. With the help of his cricketing friends, Gavinder attempts to reconcile with his father and fulfill his dreams.
