Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi is a 2017 Indian romantic comedy film starring Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vir Das, and Payal Ghosh. The storyline follows a Gujarati family in London who want their son, Rajesh (Vir Das), to marry an Indian woman of the same caste. In order to find her, they hire a professional matchmaker, Bindu (Payal Ghosh). However, Rajesh has his own plans and secretly falls in love with a Punjabi girl, Sweety (Tanuja Chandra). When Rajesh's parents find out about Sweety, they disapprove of the match due to cultural differences. But, they eventually give in when they realize that the couple is truly in love. Meanwhile, Bindu finds her own true love in the form of Rajesh’s father, Hasmukhbhai (Rishi Kapoor). Amidst all the chaos and confusion, Rajesh and Sweety are able to get married.
