Parbat 1952

Parbat is a 2019 Nepali drama film directed by Alok Nembang. The story follows a young couple who must find a way to survive against all odds during the 2015 Nepal earthquakes. The film follows Surya and Bijaya, two young newlyweds living in Sindhupalchowk, a district in the mountainous region of Nepal. After an unexpected earthquake hits their village, they must endure hardship and tragedy in order to make it out alive. With limited resources and no way to get help, they are forced to search for food and shelter in the ruins of their home. As they battle the elements and their own fears, they eventually find a way to survive and rebuild their lives. In Parbat, the audience will witness how strength, determination, and faith can bring people together in the midst of immense tragedy. It is a story of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
