Story

Paraya Ghar is a 1989 Indian family drama film directed by Kalpataru and produced by Vinod Kumar. The story revolves around the life of an affluent yet conservative Hindu joint family. The head of the family, Bhagwandas Shrivastav, decides to get his son, Ram Prasad married to a traditional girl. But Ram Prasad is already in love with a modern girl, Seema Rai. He is determined to marry her despite the fact that his father will never accept her. With the help of his brother-in-law, Ram Prasad manages to convince his father and they get married. After many ups and downs, the couple eventually finds their place in the family and everyone is happy. In the end, Bhagwandas Shrivastav learns an important lesson on being more open-minded and accepting people from different backgrounds. Paraya Ghar conveys a message of love, acceptance and understanding of diverse cultures.
