Paraya Dhan is a 1971 Indian drama film directed by A. Bhimsingh and starring Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna, and Jaya Bhaduri. The movie revolves around two childhood friends, Raju (Rajesh Khanna) and his neighbor Gauri (Hema Malini), who are both in love with each other. When Gauri’s father finds out, he forces her to marry the son of the rich landlord, Dhirendra (Vinod Mehra). Raju joins the army and goes away, leaving Gauri behind. Years later, Raju returns home to find that Gauri is still married to Dhirendra but she still has feelings for him. A love triangle ensues between Raju, Gauri and Dhirendra, as they all try to win the love of Gauri. In the end, Gauri chooses Raju and they finally reunite. The movie is an exploration of emotions and hardships that arise from complicated relationships.
