Paramaatma 1994

Paramaatma is a romantic drama about the unusual love story between an Indian and a Pakistani. The film begins in present day India, with a young couple whose relationship is forbidden by their families due to cultural differences. The pair, Daulat and Pari, decide to elope but their plans are foiled when they are separated at the border. As their love story unfolds, we are shown flashbacks of their past lives as a prince and princess from two different warring kingdoms in a remote part of India many years ago. In this previous life, the two were blissfully in love until their romance was destroyed by political unrest. After being separated for centuries, the two eventually reunite and find each other again in the present day. This time, despite all the obstacles, they find the strength to fight for their love. Paramaatma illustrates the power of true love, which can transcend borders and withstand the test of time.
