Story

Paltan is a 2018 Indian war drama film directed by J. P. Dutta about the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes between India and China in 1967. The movie follows the story of five Indian soldiers, and their commanding officer, who are sent to guard a mountain pass near the Sikkim-Tibet border from Chinese incursion. The major part of the movie is a series of intense hand-to-hand battles between the two sides, with both sides suffering heavy losses. The Indian soldiers eventually prevail, but not before the commanding officer has been killed and the remaining four men have been severely injured. After the battle ends, the Indian soldiers are praised for their bravery and commitment to duty. The movie serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave Indian soldiers in defending their country's borders. It also provides a stark reminder of the need for India to be prepared to defend itself against external threats. Ultimately, it is a stirring tribute to the selfless courage of...
