Story

Padmaavat is a 2018 Indian epic period drama film based on the epic poem of the same name. It tells the story of Ratan Sen, a Rajput king who falls in love with Padmavati, a beautiful and brave Rajput princess. The despotic Sultan Alauddin Khilji, ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, hears of her beauty and launches an attack to take her for himself. To protect his beloved, Ratan Sen leads a fierce battle against the invading army and emerges victorious. Despite this victory, Padmavati still has to face danger from Khilji, who is determined to have her for himself. In order to save her, Ratan Sen and his men make a daring plan to rescue her from Khilji's clutches.
