Story

Paan Singh Tomar is an Indian biopic film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It tells the story of an athlete, Paan Singh Tomar, who is forced to become a dreaded bandit in his home state of Madhya Pradesh after a series of unfortunate events. After winning a gold medal in the steeplechase at the Indian National Games, Singh is drafted into the Indian Army, where he excels in sports and is even promoted to Subedar. However, during a training exercise, he is framed for theft and dishonorably discharged from the military. When his appeal to be reinstated is rejected, Singh is driven to desperation. He returns to his hometown, where he is forced to take up arms when confronted by local thugs and authorities. He gradually forms a gang, earning the title 'Bandit King', and has a successful career as an outlaw until he is eventually killed in a shootout with police forces. The movie paints a vivid picture of a man's journey from a celebrated athlete to a feared bandit, and highlights the effects...
