Oonche Log is a 1985 Indian family drama film directed by Ramesh Talwar and starring Rajesh Khanna, Sanjeev Kumar, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Asrani, and Amrish Puri. The story revolves around the life of Gopal (Khanna), an honest and sincere police inspector who has been assigned the task of stopping drug trafficking in the city. He succeeds in his mission but loses his job due to political interference. He then decides to adopt three orphans and raise them as his own children. His decision is met with opposition from his family and friends. Through the course of the film, Gopal's love and dedication to his adopted children help them to become successful and responsible citizens. In the end, Gopal's perseverance and commitment to his new family win him the respect of those around him.
