Story

Naina is a 2005 Indian drama film directed by Shripal Morakhia and starring Urmila Matondkar and Manoj Bajpayee. The movie tells the story of a young woman, Naina (Matondkar) who is struggling to find her true identity. She lives with her father, an alcoholic who is abusive towards her. In a desperate attempt to escape from her home life, she begins to work in a local bar and meets a man named Karan (Bajpayee). Karan falls in love with her but is unaware of the abuse she has endured at the hands of her father. When her father finds out about the relationship, he throws her out of the house and she is forced to take refuge with Karan. Despite the initial difficulties, the two eventually form a strong bond and become inseparable. As their relationship progresses, Naina discovers her strength and courage and is finally able to stand up for herself and fight for her independence. The movie concludes with Naina and Karan happily reunited and living a life of freedom and joy.
