Mera Dharam 1986

Mera Dharam is a 1986 Hindi-language drama film directed by Raj Kapoor. The movie follows the story of Ramesh, a Hindu man who marries a Muslim woman, Shabnam. Despite their families’ disapproval, the two try to make their union work and settle in her ancestral village. Unfortunately, tensions between Hindus and Muslims cause the villagers to turn against them. In an attempt to save their family, Ramesh and Shabnam flee and live a nomadic life across India. Along the way, they have to defend themselves from attacks and find new ways to survive. Eventually, the couple is reunited with their son, who has been searching for them. In the end, the two finally find peace and acceptance from their families, allowing them to live happily together.
