Mawaali 1983

Mawaali is a 1983 Indian drama film directed by David Dhawan. The story revolves around Raju (Raj Babbar), a naive young man who falls in love with an upper-class girl, Radha (Sridevi). Raju's father disapproves of their relationship and sends him away to Bombay. In the city, Raju becomes a successful businessman and also meets his look-alike, Ravi. After some time, Raju finds out that Ravi was the son of his father's former mistress. He decides to reunite his father and Ravi’s mother, but his efforts are thwarted when his father refuses to accept Ravi as his legitimate son. Raju then decides to take revenge on his father and also fulfills his dream of marrying Radha. In the end, Raju succeeds in his mission of uniting his father with Ravi's mother, and is finally accepted by his father.
