Maqsad 1984

Maqsad is a 1984 Indian romantic drama film directed by Bharathi Raja. It stars Jeetendra, Rajesh Khanna, Jayaprada and Sridevi in the lead roles. The story revolves around two friends, Raju (Jeetendra) and Shankar (Rajesh Khanna). They are inseparable since childhood, until Shankar falls in love with Bhavani (Jayaprada), who is from a wealthy family. Raju is also in love with Bhavani, but doesn't confess it to her. As the movie progresses, Raju tries to remain a friend to both of them, while secretly pining for her love. Eventually, Bhavani's father arranges for her to marry someone else. Raju and Shankar decide to keep their friendship strong, despite the fact that Raju is heartbroken. In the end, both of them find true love and happily marry their respective partners. Maqsad highlights the importance of friendship and how it can withstand even the most difficult situations.
