Story

Manzil is a 1979 Hindi drama film directed by Basu Chatterjee. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Moushumi Chatterjee, Shreeram Lagoo and Deven Verma in the lead roles. The story revolves around Rajesh (Amitabh Bachchan) who lives a middle-class life with his family in Bombay. He is a kind-hearted man but is struggling to make ends meet. One day, he meets Preeti (Moushumi Chatterjee) and falls in love with her. However, Preeti's father refuses to accept their relationship and gets them separated. Devastated, Rajesh turns to alcohol and gradually loses all hope of ever reuniting with Preeti. But with the support of his family and friends, he eventually manages to get back on his feet and finds the courage to fight for his love. Despite all the odds, Rajesh and Preeti are finally reunited and live happily ever after. Manzil is a heartwarming story of resilience in the face of hardship and a reminder that true love always prevails.
