Mandi 1983

Mandi is a 1984 film starring Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil. The story follows the life of a young woman, Mandi (Azmi) who works in a brothel owned by her mother, Rajjo (Patil). Despite her difficult circumstances, she maintains a cheerful attitude and strong sense of self-respect. She dreams of a better future outside the brothel.
