Story

Maharaja is a 1998 Indian romantic drama film starring Akshay Kumar, Manisha Koirala, and Prabhu Deva. The story revolves around the titular character, Raja (Akshay Kumar), an ambitious young man from a village in India who dreams of becoming a big-time singer in Bombay, despite his family's disapproval. He eventually lands a job as a singer in a nightclub, where he meets Priya (Manisha Koirala), a dancer, and falls in love with her. After some time, Raja gets a chance to become a star singer when he is invited to perform at a prestigious event in London. However, Priya's disapproving father creates several obstacles for them, forcing them to flee. In order to make it to London, Raja has to take on a number of dangerous tasks. In the end, Raja and Priya manage to overcome all the hurdles and make it to London, where they get married and Raja becomes a successful singer.
