Story

Maa Baap is a 1954 Hindi-language Indian drama film directed by Homi Wadia. The movie stars V Shantaram, Sandhya and Nirupa Roy in the lead roles. The film revolves around a poor man named Bholanath who works hard to take care of his family. His wife, Leela, dies while giving birth to their son, Mohan. Bholanath raises Mohan as best he can but struggles to give him a good education. Despite this, Mohan grows up to be a successful lawyer. He returns home after successfully defending a client and finds out that his father has become ill and is being threatened with eviction from his home. To help his father, Mohan decides to fight the case in court. In the end, the court rules in favor of Bholanath and he is given back his home. The movie reflects on the importance of a father's unconditional love for his children and how it can overcome any obstacle.
