Story

Love in Simla is a 1960 Indian film directed by R. K. Nayyar and starring Joy Mukherjee, Sadhana Shivdasani, and Ashok Kumar. The story follows two college friends, Rajesh and Shekhar, who are both in love with the same girl, Anita. Rajesh is the more confident of the two and wins Anita's heart. Shekhar, dejected, decides to leave town, but Anita follows him to confess her love for him. After overcoming some misunderstandings, they eventually end up together, much to Rajesh's chagrin. In the end, it is revealed that Rajesh was only pretending to be in love with Anita so that his friend could have her. Love in Simla explores the power of friendship and selfless love among friends. It demonstrates how true love and friendship can survive through great adversity. The movie ends with Rajesh and Shekhar reconciling and Anita happily married to Shekhar.
