Story

Lakshya is a 2004 Bollywood drama film directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film stars Hrithik Roshan as Lieutenant Karan Shergill, a young Indian army officer who gets caught up in the Kargil War of 1999. Initially, Karan is a carefree and irresponsible youngster who does not take life seriously. However, after an incident with his friend and mentor, Colonel Deewan, which leads to Karan's expulsion from college, he joins the Indian Army, determined to prove himself. After rigorous training, Karan is sent to the Kargil War, where he proves to be a brave and courageous soldier. The film follows his journey as he becomes a leader and a hero to his soldiers, eventually leading the Indian army to victory. Along the way, he learns important lessons about dedication, responsibility, and courage. In the end, Karan is awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military honor, for his bravery and leadership during the war.
