Lakeer – Forbidden Lines is a story about two childhood friends, Karan and Suraj, who grow up together in the slums of Mumbai. Suraj is a poor boy who dreams of making it big someday, while Karan comes from a wealthy family but is rebellious and wants to escape his oppressive home life. When Suraj discovers that his friend is in danger, he sets out to protect him. However, their friendship is tested when the two become involved in the dangerous underworld of street fights and illegal gambling. Despite facing numerous obstacles, they remain loyal to each other and eventually manage to make it out alive. The movie shows how even though their backgrounds are different, true friendship can conquer all odds. It also demonstrates the power of love, as the two friends risk their lives for each other without any hesitation. In the end, they prove that no matter what happens, a strong bond between two people will always prevail.
