Kundan 1955

Kundan is a Bollywood film starring Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Azmi. The story follows Kundan, who lives with his mother and two sisters in a small village in India. His father had abandoned them when he was young and now they rely on the meager income from their agricultural land. Despite this, Kundan strives to create a better life for himself and his family. He meets a woman called Janki who falls in love with him. However, when Janki's wealthy father finds out about their relationship, he objects and arranges for her to marry someone else. Kundan is devastated and decides to leave his village and pursue a career in the city. He eventually becomes successful but is still haunted by his memories of Janki. After many years away, Kundan returns to the village and is reunited with Janki, only to find out that she is now married and has children. Despite this, they both still have feelings for each other and decide to try and make the best of their situation. In the end, despite all the obstacles they had faced, Kundan and Janki find happiness together and live happily ever after.
