Kudrat 1998

Kudrat is a romantic drama film from 1998 about the life of an honest and dutiful son, Rajesh (Akshaye Khanna) and his relationship with his father, Rana Pratap Singh (Raj Babbar). Rajesh is in love with his childhood friend Kavita (Urmila Matondkar) but his father disapproves of their union. His father wants him to marry someone of his own social class. Rajesh is determined to prove himself to his father, so he works hard and eventually gets a promotion. Meanwhile, Kavita falls ill, and Rajesh arranges for her costly treatment. When his father finds out, he finally relents and allows Rajesh and Kavita to marry. In the end, Rajesh and Kavita are happily married, and Rana Pratap Singh is proud of his son for standing up for what he believes in.
