Story

Khap is a 2011 Indian drama film directed by Ajai Sinha and starring Om Puri, Yuvika Chaudhary and Govind Namdev. The story revolves around the issue of honour killing in India. It follows the story of two young lovers, Jatin and Komal, who are from different castes, and their struggles against the village's caste system and the opposition they face from Komal's family. In the end, the couple succeed in getting married, but Komal's father has them killed in an honour killing as revenge for their defiance. The movie serves as a commentary on the social injustice that exists in certain parts of India due to rigid caste systems. It also highlights the importance of education and its ability to break down social barriers. Ultimately, the movie shows the power of love and how it can overcome any obstacle.
