Karwaan is a 2018 Indian comedy film directed by Akarsh Khurana and starring Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar. It follows Avinash, a career-oriented corporate worker, who encounters a series of misadventures when he embarks on a journey with his friend Shaukat and the latter’s eccentric daughter Tanya to retrieve his late father’s ashes. Along the way, they pick up a hitchhiker, Majidi, who has lost his phone and wallet. The trio travel in a second-hand car from Bangalore to Kochi, encountering new people, experiences and emotions along the way. As they travel, they face various comedic and emotional moments which help them grow as individuals. Avinash eventually finds closure and acceptance of his father’s death. He also learns to appreciate the simple joys of life, such as connecting with nature and enjoying time with friends.
