Kalyug 1981

Kalyug is a 1981 Indian drama film about two families - one wealthy and one poor - whose children fall in love. The wealthy family consists of Mr. Saxena and his son, Rajiv, who lives with his maternal uncle, Mr. Varma. Meanwhile, the poor family consists of a widow, Mrs. Chaudhry, and her two sons, Amar and Dev. Rajiv and Amar meet and fall in love. Despite being from different social backgrounds, they continue seeing each other until Mrs. Saxena discovers their relationship and forbids it, leading to a heated argument between Rajiv and his father. In the end, Rajiv decides to take matters into his own hands and elopes with Amar. This causes a rift between the two families as well as within the Saxena family. Ultimately, both families reconcile, and Rajiv and Amar are happily married.
