Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham follows the story of a wealthy family, the Raichands, who are based in Delhi. The head of the family, Yash Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan), is a successful business tycoon and his wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan) is a loving mother to their two sons, Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) and Rohan (Hrithik Roshan).
