Story

Joru Ka Ghulam is a 2000 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Shakeel Noorani. The story follows Shyam (Govinda), who lives in a small town and works as a clerk in a local government office. He is very shy and introverted, but falls in love with the beautiful Reena (Twinkle Khanna). Reena's father, however, has arranged for her to marry a rival business man's son. Shyam is forced into servitude by Reena's father, becoming his 'ghulam' or slave in order to win Reena's hand in marriage. With the help of his friends, he eventually succeeds in freeing himself from slavery and wins Reena's heart. The couple eventually gets married and goes on to live happily ever after.
