Jhalki 2019

Jhalki is an Indian social-drama film about a nine year old tribal girl named Jhalki (Boman Irani) from the village of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Her brother, Babu, gets kidnapped by traffickers and taken to the city. Jhalki embarks on a quest to find her brother, and enlists the help of her friend, Gulab (Aarti Jha). They enlist the aid of a local journalist, Prakash (Sanjay Suri), who helps them find out where Babu is being held. With the help of Prakash and Gulab, Jhalki eventually finds Babu and brings him back home. The story highlights the plight of many children affected by human trafficking, and shows the strength of a young girl in standing up for her rights and those of others.
