Iraada 1991

Irada is a 1991 Bollywood drama film directed by Jay Prakash. It stars Anupam Kher, Deepti Naval, and Raghuvir Yadav in the lead roles. The movie tells the story of an honest police officer, Inspector Shrivastav (Kher), who is assigned to investigate the murder of a major industrialist, Dr. Nana Abhyankar (Yadav). Shrivastav soon discovers that many powerful people are involved in this case, including a powerful minister, Mr. Naik (Naval). He also realises that the motive for the killing was to prevent the release of a report which would have exposed the corruption and nepotism rampant in the government. To ensure justice is served, Shrivastav bravely confronts and arrests all those involved in the killing. Despite the odds stacked against him, he succeeds in his mission, thus bringing the truth to light. In the end, justice prevails and Shrivastav is rewarded with a promotion.
