House Arrest 2019

House Arrest is a 2019 Indian comedy drama film released on Netflix. The film follows the story of Karan (Ali Fazal), a disheartened young man living in Mumbai, who is desperate to escape his mundane life and get out of the city. One day, he meets a mysterious old woman (Sushmita Mukherjee) who changes his life forever. With her help, Karan decides to stay home and take part in a ‘house arrest’, where he discovers the joys of life through cooking, music and art. As time passes, he learns to appreciate the beauty of life and find peace within himself and with his family and friends. Through this experience, he finds true happiness and finds freedom from his previous worries. Ultimately, Karan learns that sometimes getting away from it all can be the best way to rediscover one’s true self and live life to its fullest.
