Story

Highway is a 2014 Indian drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda. The story follows the journey of a young woman, Veera Tripathi (Bhatt), who is kidnapped by Mahabir Bhati (Hooda) on the highway as she travels from Delhi to her home in Himachal Pradesh. After some time, Veera develops an odd relationship with her captor, and the two form an unlikely bond. As their journey progresses, Veera realizes that the road trip has enabled her to explore herself and discover her own strength. In the end, she is able to break free from her past and find peace within herself. The movie reveals how self-discovery can lead to freedom and healing.
