Story

Guzaarish is a Bollywood drama film about a paralyzed magician, Ethan Mascarenhas (played by Hrithik Roshan), who has been bedridden for 14 years. After a failed suicide attempt, Ethan petitions the court to allow him to die with dignity and is granted permission to do so after his lawyer, Devyani (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), fights for his right to die. With the help of his friend and former assistant Sofia (Shernaz Patel), Ethan organizes a grand show to give his fans a final farewell. As his life comes to an end, he finds himself in a dilemma between his love for life and his choice to die. The film ends with Ethan's death, leaving behind his legacy of inspiring people to live life to the fullest. Ultimately, Guzaarish is a story about how one can remain positive despite adversity and find beauty even in darkness.
