Story

Gupt: The Hidden Truth is a 1997 Indian thriller film directed by Rajiv Rai. It stars Bobby Deol, Kajol, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Om Puri in lead roles. The story follows the life of Vicky (Deol), an innocent young man who is framed for the murder of his father's business partner, Dhanraj (Puri). His father, Shekhar Malhotra (Rawal) is accused of killing Dhanraj and killing himself in a suicide pact. Vicky manages to escape from jail and goes on a journey to uncover the truth behind his father's death. He finds that Dhanraj was involved with a powerful criminal gang, led by Jaspal (Raj Babbar) and his henchman Billa (Chunkey Pandey). He also learns that Dhanraj had hired a hitman to kill Shekhar, but the hitman had actually killed Dhanraj instead. Vicky eventually discovers that it was Jaspal who had orchestrated the whole plot.
