Goal! 2007

Goal follows the story of Kunal Shetty, an illegal immigrant from India, living in London. He dreams of becoming a professional footballer and trains hard, but his dream is opposed by his father, who wants him to stay in London and work as a doctor. Kunal gets a chance to join a semi-professional team, but his father refuses to give him permission. Kunal then sneakily plays for the team, and impresses the coach and eventually earns a place in the team. With his newfound success, Kunal begins to get noticed by bigger clubs and he soon has the opportunity to play for a major team. However, Kunal's father still opposes his dream and forces him to return home to India, where he must choose between his family's wishes and his own dreams. In the end, Kunal decides to follow his passion and returns to England, where he makes it to the top of the football world.
