Flight 2021

Flight is a 2021 American drama film directed by Maurice Smith. The story follows an ambitious airline pilot, William "Whip" Whitaker (Denzel Washington), who saves the lives of passengers and crew on a flight from Atlanta to Orlando when the plane malfunctions. However, Whip is soon investigated by a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) agent (John Goodman) after traces of alcohol and cocaine are found in his system. As the investigation continues, Whip's life spirals out of control as he attempts to cope with his drug and alcohol addiction and the consequences of his actions. With the help of Nicole (Kelly Reilly), his former lover and fellow addict, Whip works to prove his innocence and rebuild his life. In the end, Whip learns that sometimes strength comes from facing your inner demons and finding the courage to move on.
