Ek Nari Ek Brahmachari 1971

Ek Nari Ek Brahmachari is a 1971 Indian drama film directed by Pramod Chakravorty. The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Mumtaz, Pran and Prem Chopra in the lead roles. The story follows a young man named Rajesh, who is torn between his duty as a brahmachari (celibate) and his love for a woman, Nirmala. Rajesh is a student of philosophy and is devoted to studying the scriptures. When he meets Nirmala, a college student, he falls in love with her. He is torn between his loyalty to his teacher and his desire for Nirmala. After much deliberation, he decides to follow his teacher’s advice and marry a woman chosen for him by his teacher. On the wedding day, Nirmala shows up and tries to make him realise his mistake. Eventually, Rajesh realises his true love for Nirmala and the two are united. The film explores the conflict between one's duty and one's desires. Rajesh chooses to honour his teacher's wishes until he realises that his heart lies with Nirmala. It ends on a happy note with the two lovers uniting
