Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film. It follows Sweety, a young woman from Punjab, India who lives with her family, including her doting father Balbir Chaudhary, and her sister Babli. After Sweety meets Saahil Mirza, an old friend of hers, she begins to question her own sexuality and discovers that she is a lesbian. With the help of Balbir, she decides to come out to her conservative family. However, her family does not accept her, instead trying to arrange her marriage to a suitable man. In the end, Sweety comes out publicly at her engagement ceremony, leading her family to finally accept her for who she is. The movie serves as a reminder to society that love is love, regardless of gender or sexuality.
